OnlineHost: ArthurSomerset has entered the room.
Deadwood Graves: Cedric could be found behind the bar wearing a plain black
v-neck shirt, some black jeans, and black canvas Toms. He had a book in his
hand that was up to his face as he read the text on it.
a foxs paw: Breanne was bouncing down into the place wearing pants and a
t-shirt that said 'Depressed, Stressed, and Under Dressed.' Just coming back
from visiting a friend, Breanne was staring down at her cellphone as she
walked into the
a foxs paw: area. Looking upward to see Cedric and bounce over toward him.-d
Deadwood Graves: It was one he had picked up from the library yesterday
titled "Twilight". Finally a book that had absolutely nothing to do learning
magic. He figured he'd try and see what modern stories were out there
Deadwood Graves: these days in this different world. He had the dullest
expression on his face as he read through it. Why was he even wasting his
time on this? He stifled a yawn as he shook his head,
a foxs paw: ... Cedric was reading teen smutt.
Deadwood Graves: really not into the story whatsoever but he had already
invested this much time into it. Finally, someone entered. He raised up his
eyes to look towards the little blonde girl. "Oh thank the Gods..." he
muttered under his breath
Deadwood Graves: before closing up the book and setting it down. "'ello
little one. What can I get for you today? No alcohol." He gave her a stern
look as he leaned away from the counter and crossed his arms over his chest.
a foxs paw: Breanne stared at the book when he closed it and moved toward
the bar enough to pull herself up onto a stool and pull her legs up to her
body then with a small little raised brow. "Yer nu that's buk wan av tree?"
She raised book as
a foxs paw: stared at the book, leaning inward a little before shifting to
put her phone down on the counter with a small blush of a smile. "an' yer nu,
dove drinks. chucker yer yell at 'er whaen she does it? den can yer git me a
coke?"-d
Deadwood Graves: He furrowed his brows and squinted his eyes as he replayed
her words in his head. "Emm..." He looked up towards the ceiling, biting on
his bottom lip as he really couldn't figure out what it was. He looked back
down at her, tilting
Deadwood Graves: his head to the side until it finally came to him. "Ah!
Book one of three you say? ... Wow. Well, I don't think I'm interested in how
the rest of the story unfolds..." He shook his head as he uncrossed his arms
and pulled a
Deadwood Graves: can of coke from the small fridge beneath him. "Isn't Dove
older than you though?" He opened up the can, grabbing a glass and filling it
with ice before pouring the fizzy drink into it and handing it to her. He'd
toss the can
OnlineHost: Without IvIercy has entered the room.
Deadwood Graves: into the trash and then look back at the young girl,
folding his arms over his chest once more as he leaned back against the
counter behind him and crossed one leg over the other.
Without IvIercy: Wandering about was in her nature at times. Finding odd
places where she wouldn't be looked at as some sort of bat shit crazy loon
were always a bonus. Once more the small, slender Asian was stepping through
the door and into the
a foxs paw: "A year.." She raised a brow up at him as he asked the question
about Dove. Wrinkling her nose softly. A little sigh escaping her. Eveyone
always thought Dove was so much older, but then again Dove didn't just have
her Grans die
Without IvIercy: Wolfmoon. Pretty much the same attire as she had worn last
time, baggy black dress pants and long sleeved dress shirt with suspenders
over shoulders and Chuck's on feet. There was also a long red and spade ended
tail swaying behind
Without IvIercy: her with each step towards the bar. All four feet eleven
inches of her would climb up onto a stool and hop onto it to sit down. -d
a foxs paw: and suddenly learrn about magic and vampires and werewolves..
and and and. Breanne looked toward the woman that entered and flashed a
smile toward her then. Waving hands gently toward her as her welcome.-d
Deadwood Graves: Was Dove really just a year older than Breanne? His
expression would only show the surprise, but he thought it best to keep the
comments to himself. Sometimes teenage girls could be a bit sensitive about
such matters... "Oh." And
Deadwood Graves: that was all he gave to her before eyes looked to the
petite Asian woman he remembered from the other night. "Welcome back," he
greeted with a smile. "More milk today, Doll?" He wouldn't bother with trying
to pronounce her real
Deadwood Graves: name this time around.
Without IvIercy: Seeing the waving hands she'd dip head a bit.
"Kon'nichiwa." Yes Cedric, wrap your head around that Japanese word! Last
time it had been hilarious. Tail flicked side to side and then rose up to
wave at the woman. Bending just below
Without IvIercy: the spade like a hand and wrist. Hearing Cedric she'd
smile. "Hai. Milk please." Moving one small hand into the front of that baggy
dress shirt she'd unfasten one of the buttons. .Delving inside to pull out a
small dog eared book
Without IvIercy: and set it on the counter, nudging it towards him. What did
it say on the front cover? Japanese to English Dictionary and Translations.
-d
Deadwood Graves: Once the order was confirmed, he'd snatch up a glass and
pull out the jug of milk from the fridge beneath him; filling it's contents
up and then grabbing a straw to stick into it. Handing Ichigo the glass and
then putting the jug
Deadwood Graves: away, his eyes would fall onto the dog-eared book. He
quriked up a brow as head read the title under his breath. A grin came to
cross his face. "A book on your language?" He took the book into a hand and
wiggled a finger against
Deadwood Graves: one of the ears. He couldn't help but chuckle at it. "Well
that's very thoughtful of you! I will definitely be giving this a read..." He
opened it up to one of the first pages and repeated after it in that thick
Welsh-sounding
Deadwood Graves: accent of his. "Kone itchy... wah... Means hello? Well,
kone itchy wah to you too!" He looked up at her with, still smiling as he did
so before flipping through some more pages. "Do mo... arry... ga... toe!"
Deadwood Graves: - d
Without IvIercy: As he poured the glass of milk she'd arch a brow and tilt
head slightly. "Could have just stuck the straw into the jug." Yes, she
really did drink that much milk. Enough so that a friend had given her one of
those milk machines for
Without IvIercy: her birthday one year and had it stocked with various
flavors...She'd gone through all of it in a month and had to get it refilled.
"Hai." Grinning she'd lick lips and then speak. Her accent flowing
effortlessly as the Japanese
Without IvIercy: rolled off her tongue. "Hai, sore wa tadashi. Watashi wa
sore wa anata o tasukeru koto o negatte imasu." Which means..."Yes, that is
correct. I hope it will help you." -d
OnlineHost: ArthurSomerset has left the room.
Deadwood Graves: A book was one of the greatest gifts that could ever be
given to Cedric, being that he was a huge bookworm. He closed the book up and
gave it a good stare as Ichigo spoke to him. "Hai... Must mean yes." And then
he opened up the
Deadwood Graves: fridge once more to place the jug of milk before her. "Have
at it!" He watched her as she spoke Japanese so fluently. "Brilliant. Thank
you so much. I'll definitely put it to good use." He nodded his head some as
he gently set the
Deadwood Graves: book down to start fixing himself up a cup of tea. "So
how'd the rest of your night go? The other night, that is."
Without IvIercy: "I speak many languages." When he set the jug of milk down
she'd grin, tail swaying side to side behind her. "Arigato." The milk in the
glass soon had a straw tucked into it and she was draining it rather quickly.
Head raised once
Without IvIercy: the glass was empty and nothing but the filmy residue
rermained. Lips licked and she'd transfer the straw to the jug...Drat! Not
long enough. Oh well. Straw back into glass and she'd grab hold of the jug.
"It wasn't bad. There was
Without IvIercy: enough to fill one of my freezers." Not going to elaborate,
she would if questioned but not just out of the blue. Jug lifted and milk was
being chugged..When it was set down again? Milk-stache. -d
Deadwood Graves: "Do you? Well that's a good trait to have. Which ones do
you know?" He watched her as she downed the glass of milk. She wasn't joking
about her consumtion of milk, was she? He just stared, eyebrows furrowed as
he blinked. Slowly his
Deadwood Graves: hand came up to take the now empty glass with the straw in
it and set it into the sink. He'd be sure to wash it later. Then he watched
as she drank it straight from the jug. Lips pursed as he quirked up a brow.
He chuckled some
Deadwood Graves: seeing the milk-stache. "You've got a bit of..." he pointed
at his own upper lip before deciding it best to just hand her a napkin. "You
might want to use this."
Without IvIercy: There was a little hiccup and eyes crossed over the bridge
of nose and she kind of did the 'duck face' trying to see her upper lip. Then
he was speaking and had her attention again. "Ukranian, Russian, German,
Albanian, Cambodian,
Without IvIercy: Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese." Leaning forward she'd
take the napkin and wipe at upper lip. "Arigato Sedorikku." Grinning she'd
wait to see if he would pick up that book and see just what she'd said. "Oh,
there's one more as well
Without IvIercy: ." Clearing throat she'd tilt head a bit and begin
speaking. "Onid ydych yn ddyn neis?" She would get bored and learn new
languages, that and in her line of work it was always best to know what the
hell people around you were saying
Without IvIercy: -d
OnlineHost: AIongWithMe has entered the room.
OnlineHost: AIongWithMe has left the room.
Deadwood Graves: He'd just watch her as she gave off the list of several
different languages she knew how to speak. He blinked some more, grabbing a
cleaning rag and absentmindedly wiping the counter before him down. "I...
can't say I know any of
Deadwood Graves: those languages you just mentioned. Er. Are those all from
Earth? Because I'm not from that planet." He tilted his head to the side
towards the 'Sedorikku' part. "Is that my name in Japanese?" And then the
whole sentence in the
Deadwood Graves: foreign language he did not know. "I'm sorry but... what
did you just say now? What language is that one?"
Without IvIercy: "Oh, English as well as it is not my native language." That
one was probablly the hardest she'd ever had to learn. All those slang terms!
"Hai, that was your name." Then she blinked and as he said not from Earth she
got it. Nodding
Without IvIercy: bit with a grin. "Some say that I cannot be..But I am. Yes,
they are all Earth languages and some are quite easy to learn if you'd like
one day. Also? That was Welsh, I went from your accent tones and
pronunciations the last time
Without IvIercy: and learned that language as well." -d
Deadwood Graves: "Some say that you cannot be from Earth? And why's that?"
Cedric didn't really know all that much about the planet. He knew some
things, but not a whole lot. "My accent? What's my accent got to do with it?"
He'd grab a glass and a
Deadwood Graves: barmop, clearing away the finger prints from it.
Without IvIercy: "Hai, they assume that I am from a different Universe
because of what I am...Or they automatically assume I am from Yomi or Hell."
Shrugging a bit she'd smirk and then cant head a bit. "The way you speak. It
has a Welsh accent. As
Without IvIercy: if you are from Earth's England." Tail flicked side to side
behind her and she'd frown for a moment. "You are from a different universe?
Do you know which one?" Already she was unbuttoning the sleeve of her shirt
on the right arm.
Without IvIercy: Rolling it up to near elbow to expose both a leather bracer
around forearm that held various throwing weapons and a strange looking sort
of watch. -d
Deadwood Graves: "I see..." He set the glass he was wiping at down before
picking up another and doing the same to it. "Welsh? From England? Huh...
Interesting. Wouldn't of thought that my accent was the same as one from
Earth. Guess that just goes
Deadwood Graves: to show how small the Universe as a whole really is." He
chuckled some before getting to her question about the Universe he was from.
"Well the planet I'm from is called Kaurmora, in the language I speak. Not
really sure what the
Deadwood Graves: English translation for that would be. It's called
different things depending on your race." He let out a shrug before his eyes
were brought to attention of the watch on her wrist. "That looks nifty. What
is that?"
Without IvIercy: Looking at the watch she'd glance up to him and chuckle.
"Oh, there are many, many universe's. We are only in one." Looking to the
watch once more then back to him she'd grin. "It is an invention of mine. I
used to have a different
Without IvIercy: one but this one has quite a few more capabilities."
Looking down at it once more she'd speak. "Abercrombie, please wake up and
show yourself." The watch would light up, blue LED lights flickered around
the band before the screen
Without IvIercy: blinked and a holographic image rose up. It was Johnny Depp
in his Jack Sparrow persona. "Abercrombie, please say hello to Cedric." The
hologram would look to Cedric and offer a wave. "Hello." Back to Ichi. "What
is your request
Without IvIercy: little Miss?" -d
Deadwood Graves: He'd pause with his wiping of the glass as he watched the
wrist band flicker about and then bring forth a pirate man. He quirked up a
brow, leaning his head forward some to get a closer look. "Erm... Hello," he
spoke to the hologram
Deadwood Graves: with uncertainty. He tilted his head to the side, watching
as she interacted with him... or it... Whatever it was.
Without IvIercy: "Abercrombie however is not my invention. This is simply a
way to communicate with the actual Abercrombie" Glancing to Cedric she'd
squint one eye. "It's complicated." Shaking head she'd look down to the
hologram again. "Diagram of
Without IvIercy: Multiversal Theory 101 please." The hologram would nod and
disappear. Soon enough a larger hologram would appear in the air. Showing the
various swirls of different universes. "In each universe there are those that
resemble us...I
Without IvIercy: have nine at last count. These are known as Multiversal
Counter Parts." Looking to him to see if any of it was sinking in. -
Deadwood Graves: He'd set the cup and rag down as he crossed his arms over
his chest and squinted his eyes, trying to understand what she was telling
him. "What do you mean by 'resembles us'?" He quirked up a brow as he stared
at the diagram coming
Deadwood Graves: from her wrist.
Without IvIercy: Ahhh hmm...How was the inventor and scientist to explain
where he would understand? Thinking for a second. "Oh I know." Nodding she'd
take the jug of milk and pull it over. Leaning over she'd find a bottle
of...something. Dye or
Without IvIercy: something. Either way she would drip a couple drops of the
dye into the jug of milk. "Alright. That one drop of dye is me." Looking up
to him she'd nod. "In this Multiversal concept there are numerous versions of
me. So therefore...
Without IvIercy: More dye drops." She'd drop a few more into the jug, making
the white milk darker. "Now. Each different me...Has a different life and
history than I do myself. I am Japanese and Cambodian, cannibalistic and
posessed by a demon...
Without IvIercy: They could be a banker...lawyer...taxi driver...so on and
so forth. Their worlds are different. But there is a look a like version of
ME in THAT universe...Just as I sit HERE in this one." Frowning she tilted
head. Not sure if that
Without IvIercy: helped or confused the shit out of him more. "Make sense?"
-d
Deadwood Graves: He'd watched as she gave her demonstration with the milk
and dye. "Ah, I get what you're saying. You're talking about alternate
realities. Parallel universes. Things of that nature. Gotchya." He nodded his
head. "Makes perfect
Deadwood Graves: sense. I wonder about those things quite often. I'm sure
there's another version of me on planet Earth somewhere doing whatever it is
fate chose for him." He tilted his head to the side once more. "What makes
you bring this up,
Deadwood Graves: anyway?"
Without IvIercy: "Yes! That!" leave it to her to try and explain it in the
most complicated way there was. Smirking she'd arch a brow. "I know for a
fact there is another me wandering around. She's a film star and....eh."
Shrugging she'd chuckle a
Without IvIercy: bit. "You mentioned not being from Earth. My mind tends to
work in rather odd ways at times." Pointing to the band on her arm. "It leads
me to invent things like this....Or lightsabers for Leprechauns." -d
OnlineHost: Distant Humor has entered the room.
Deadwood Graves: A chuckle passed his lips. "I see. One topic just led to
another." He went back to absentmindedly wiping down the bartop. He'd
probably wipes the same spot about ten times now, but there wasn't much else
to do on the service side of
Deadwood Graves: the bar at the moment. "Do you visit your home planet
often?"
Deadwood Graves: *wiped
Without IvIercy: "Ahhh...no. It is not very advisable for me to do that."
Grinning a bit she'd shrug and tip head, watching him clean the counter over
and over. "I am boring you?" -
Without IvIercy: d
Distant Humor: He opened the door and played with the little bell some and
then closed it and looked around. Kid dressed in jeans t shirt and jean
jacket, crappy sneakers. He wandered over to the counter.
Deadwood Graves: "And why's that?" He quirked up a brow before shaking his
head side to side. "No, no! Not at all. I just sometimes can't keep still."
He looked down at the counter, realizing why she probably wondered such a
thing. There really was
Deadwood Graves: no need to keep wiping it down. "Er... Sorry..." He left
the rag alone before he was brought to the attention of the kid that just
walked in. "Hello there. Erm..." He took notice of how young the boy was. He
wasn't about to offer
Deadwood Graves: him alcohol. "We have soda, water, milk, or juice. Which
would like?"
Without IvIercy: "Because ones such as myself who have done things such as I
have. Do not tend to be welcome." As he seemed a bit embarassed by whaat he'd
been doing she'd snicker slightly. Then looking to the young one that came
inside then back to
Distant Humor: He offered the man an inquisitive kid stare for some time.
He reached into his pocket and grabbbed out a wad of cash and peeled off a
few bills and laid then fifty dollars on the counter. Gazed up expectantly,
nervously.
Without IvIercy: Cedric. "You did not offer me such choices..." There was
her trademark pouty face with big brown eyes and poked out lower lip. "I do
not look enough like a young teen?" Smirk. -d
Distant Humor: Slid the money towards the man. "I'm returning this."
Distant Humor: He nodded thenking the man and then mumbled. "sorry..." Then
he turned and headed back to the door and headed out pretty quickly.
OnlineHost: Distant Humor has left the room.
Deadwood Graves: He squinted his eyes as he looked down at the wad of cash.
How was this kid loaded with cash? ... And then to hear the confession. His
eyes stopped squinting as he nodded his head. Then the kid scurried off
before he could even say
Deadwood Graves: anything. "Erm..." He glanced over to Ichigo. "Do... you
know that boy?" He took the wad of cash and put it in his black jean's
pocket. He'd give it to Val in the morning. Then he'd chuckle once the
comment she said about him not
Deadwood Graves: offering the same drinks he offered the boy. "Must be that
tail of yours that stopped me from judging your age."
Without IvIercy: "Eh? No, I cannot say that I know him. Still perhaps he is
simply a pick pocket that wished to return something stolen by sticky little
fingers?" Still at his words of her tail she sat up straight and huffed.
"That should make no
Without IvIercy: difference. Judging by appendages is rather racist in my
view." Arms folded beneath chest and head rose in a rather haughty angle.
"You are anti tail." -d
Deadwood Graves: "Hm... Well, that was random..." He shrugged some,
disregarding the matter before quickly shaking his head side to side towards
her accusation of him being racist. "No, no! I just figured you were some
sort of demon and I mean,
Deadwood Graves: demon's do naughty things so why would I stop you from
consuming alcohol? And I mean you are short but you don't look like a minor!"
He was quick to explain himself, that accent of his thick as he scrambled
through the words,
Deadwood Graves: feeling guilty for having offended her - or so he was under
the impression he offended her. "Honestly!"
Deadwood Graves: *demons
Without IvIercy: Those almond shaped brown eyes were focused on him,
fingertips tapping against elbow as she waited. While he was digging his
hole. It was soooo hard not to break into a grin or snicker, but after years
of training with her former
Without IvIercy: Sensei? You learned to control emotions...Or suffered for
it. "Ohhhhh....I am short but don't look young? So I look old then?" Tail
flicked side to side behind her like an aggitated cat's. "Actually I am not
personally a demon. She
Without IvIercy: is the demon. I am human." Or Meta Human if you wanted to
split the fine hairs. Still, he was so cute when he was flustered it was
impossible for her to resist. Arms lowered and hands smacked the counter top,
like she was really
Without IvIercy: upset by this! Climbing onto the counter so she was
kneeling in front of him, eyes narrowed and tail lashed. One small hand shot
out and grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling him forward so they were near
nose to nose. "I......"
Without IvIercy: Drawn out pause for dramatic effect! "Am not upset." And
she kissed the tip of his nose before releasing him and climbing back down to
sit on her rstool. -d
Deadwood Graves: His blue eyes were wide as if watching a flame slowly turn
into an unwanted wildfire. "No, no! You don't look old. No, I mean. I
thought. I know now. I just." He brought his hands up as if surrendering to
her. And then watching her
Deadwood Graves: climb the countertop he took a step back before she grabbed
the front of his black v-neck shirt and pulled him forward. He closed his
eyes and winced, as if expecting a slap to the face any moment. He held his
breath, just waiting
Deadwood Graves: for it. And then the peck to the nose. "Sorry!" Wait, what?
He opened his eyes and blinked a few times, exhaling slowly before touching
his nose a bit to make sure it was still there. Hey, she could of casted some
spell to have it
Deadwood Graves: fall off, for all he knew. He blinked some more as eyes
watched her. "... Oh." He let out a chuckle as he couldn't help but feel
extremely gullible. "You were just joking the whole time! You truly are a
demon!" He chuckled
Deadwood Graves: as he shook his head. "You really got me there! Too
convincing, too convincing."
Without IvIercy: Now she laughed and shook head. "Actually...No. I am
reallly not a demon. Sanji is the demon. I am the human." Tilting head a bit
she'd arch a brow and shrug shoulders slightly. "You were too cute looking
flustered and frightened
Without IvIercy: like a fluffy little bunny." -d
Deadwood Graves: "I know, I know. That was just evil of you to get me like
that." He let out another chuckle before realizing he never did make himself
a cup of tea. He reached for the box of assorted teas, opening it up and
fumbling through it to
Deadwood Graves: find some Irish Breakfast tea. "So that demon of yours...
How'd you guys meet?" He grabbed a mug and filled it with hot water from the
spigot before setting in the tea bag and letting it steep.
Without IvIercy: "What? I am utterly innocent." Smiling to him she'd chuckle
faintly. Then at the question the amusement would fade. "It is...a
complicated thing. We met when I was starving and scrounging for food."
Clearing throat and squirming a
Without IvIercy: bit on her seat. "I....ate her former vessel." -d
Deadwood Graves: He would stir the teabag around as his eyes watched her
expression fall away from amusement. Oops, he didn't mean to kill the mood.
Go figure Cedric would kill it with his curiousity. "Hmm... Ate her former
vessel?"
Without IvIercy: "Hai, ate her former vessel. I am a cannibal. I have always
been one." Clearing throat a bit she'd sit up straight. "When you are
starving you eat whatever you can, even if it has started to decay. Sanji and
I made a deal basically.
Without IvIercy: She protected a frightened child and...I would allow her
freedoms to an extent." -d
Deadwood Graves: His brows furrowed as his expression fell into a more
serious one. The fact that she had starved to the point of cannibalism was
not a happy thing to hear. "Wow... Sorry to hear that..." He slowly brought
the cup of tea to his lips,
Deadwood Graves: blowing the steam away before taking a small sip and then
bringing the cup back down. "Sounds like you had it rough... But now that you
no longer need to depend on cannibalism to eat... why is it that you still do
it?" He was
Deadwood Graves: curious to know, and not because he was being judgemental
or anything. Just honest curiousity.
Without IvIercy: Smirking she canted head a bit. "You understand that I have
always been a cannibal yes? From birth?" Frowning a bit, brows furrowed.
"Normal foods do little for me." Folding arms atop the counter she'd lace
fingers together. "I
Without IvIercy: depend on it to survive. I always have." Thumbs tapped
together a bit as she smirked. "I do not randomly eat people on the street
however. There is a certain human substitute that I obtain and eat." -d
Deadwood Graves: "Oh, so it wasn't due to starvation, but due to... just
being born that way? Were your parents cannibals as well?" Both of his hands
now were cupping his mug as he brought it to his lips once more and blew at
it to cool it down some
Deadwood Graves: - as his last sip to test it proved it to still be a bit
too hot to enjoy.
Without IvIercy: Unlacing fingers she'd rub fingertips against the counter
top. "I am...not sure. My family history is...odd." Clearing throat she'd
reach into a pocket and pull some money free. Setting the bills on the
counter to pay for the milk.
Without IvIercy: "I will return another ngiht and tell you the story if you
are still interested." Smiling to him she'd slide from the stool and start
towards the door. -d
Deadwood Graves: He nodded his head as he set the mug down and took the
payment. He still needed to speak with Val about how to work the register. In
the mean time, it'd be put in his pocket. "I'm sure my curiousity will still
be there. You have
Deadwood Graves: yourself a goodnight, Doll. And thank you again for the book." Watching her walk out he'd start cleaning up whatever there was to clean.
Without IvIercy: "You are welcome Cedric. I will return soon and perhaps bring you another book." Waving over shoulder she smiled and slipped out the door to head off into the darkness. -d
